Previous BBC Specialists Face Members of Parliament's Inquiry Following Assertions of Prejudice in Disclosed Document
We begin with questions from Conservative MP the panel's head, that oversees the group.
She initiates by providing details to the unauthorized memo prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"It is not my wish for the BBC tilting toward one side or the other, I simply desire it balanced, fair and fair," he declares.
When asked whether he believes the BBC is structurally prejudiced, the adviser responds: "No, I do not. Let's be clear, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is exceptional - encompassing informative and entertainment shows."
But he adds: "There remains significant effort that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
A further previous consultant BBC adviser questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the BBC extremely earnestly and that it maintains a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" across fluid and multifaceted topics.
"Did the BBC ready to have a genuine discussion and debate and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "In my view, yes they were."
